THE MUSEUM: Grand Opening
A Shared Micro-Moment in Noticing

First, make a museum.
Then invite someone in.
The Museum: Opening Night turns an ordinary room, ordinary objects, and a little curiosity into a shared experience for kids, families, and the people they love.

It begins with The Museum, the original Micro-Moment in Noticing.
Your child becomes the curator and chooses three ordinary things from around the house that deserve a place in their museum. They'll look closer, give each object a title, and decide what makes it worthy of being displayed.

But this time, the experience doesn't end there.
It's time for Opening Night.
Make a guest list.
Send an invitation.
Hand out museum tickets.
Welcome your guests.
Show them around.
And then invite everyone to try noticing for themselves.

Each guest chooses something they may have passed many times before, looks at it for 30 seconds, and searches for five details they've never noticed.
Then everyone comes back together to share what they found.

No elaborate setup.
No special supplies.
No perfect display required.

The museum can be on a kitchen table, a bedroom shelf, or right in the middle of the living room.
The objects aren't really the point.
Looking closer is.

And when we do it together, we may notice more than the things sitting in front of us.

• Expanded Opening Night experience

LOOKING THROUGH A TINY WINDOW
A delightfully peculiar micro-moment in curiosity.

What happens when you take a world you've seen a hundred times...and only look at one tiny piece of it?

Looking Through a Tiny Window is a simple printable experience for kids and families that turns an ordinary piece of paper into a new way of exploring familiar places.

Make a one-inch window.
Take it around the house. Into the backyard. Out on the porch. Along a favorite walking path.

Look close.
Look far away.
Move around until something catches your attention.
Then stop.
What do you see?
Now invite someone else to look through the same tiny window.
What did they notice?
What was different?
What was the same?
That's it.
No elaborate setup. No special supplies. No right answer.
Just a tiny window and a little curiosity.

LOOK AGAIN
Try it another time.
Morning or nighttime.
Inside or outside.
In the sunshine, rain, or under the moon.

Go back to somewhere you've been over and over and see what catches your attention this time. The included Look Again page is designed to make this an experience kids can return to—not an activity they simply complete once.

LOOK TOGETHER
Bring Mom. Dad. A brother or sister. A friend. A neighbor.
Or, as Tiny Window suggests, bring your favorite stuffed animal too.
Sometimes two people can look at exactly the same place and notice completely different things.
And sometimes they notice exactly the same thing.
Either way, it's worth a look.

WHAT'S INCLUDED
• LOOK CLOSE A simple shared experience using a one-inch window
• LOOK AGAIN: Return to familiar places at different times, in different weather, or under different light
• LOOK TOGETHER: Share the same tiny view and discover what someone else notices
• MAKE YOUR WINDOW: Simple folding and cutting instructions to create your own viewing tool

ALL YOU NEED
• A piece of paper
• Scissors
• Somewhere familiar
• Curiosity

Suggested for ages 5–10, families, siblings, grandparents, friends, or anyone who might enjoy seeing the familiar a little differently.
Adult help is recommended for cutting. The activity itself reminds children to ask an adult for help when making their window.

Wooden Mindfulness Box for Kids | Thinking Tool, Keepsake, Worry Journal

Wooden Mindfulness Box for Kids | Thinking Tool, Keepsake, Worry Journal
from $22.00
Kids face a lot as they grow.

They encounter new situations, difficult decisions, friendship problems, changes, worries, and questions they may not have an answer to.

As adults, our instinct is often to help them find the answer.
But what about the times when there isn't one yet?

My “I Don’t Know What to Do” Box was created around one very simple idea:

Sometimes, it’s okay not to know.

When a child has something on their mind and simply doesn't know what to do, they can write it on one of the included cards, place it inside the box, close the lid and click the latch.

For now, they can leave it there.

They don't have to solve it immediately. They don't have to choose the perfect answer. They don't even have to know when they'll come back to it.

They can give themselves, and their thoughts, a little room.

Maybe an answer comes later.
Maybe they decide to ask someone for help.
Maybe the problem doesn't seem quite as big tomorrow.
Maybe they still don't know.

That's okay, too.

The included mini booklet gently walks children through the practice of putting something away for a little while and coming back to it when they're ready.

Each Set Includes

One handmade wooden keepsake box with metal latch
My “I Don’t Know What to Do” Box mini booklet
Writing cards for questions, decisions, problems, thoughts, or anything else they don't quite know what to do with yet

Made to Grow With Them

The wooden box was intentionally kept simple.
No characters. No bright colors. No design they'll outgrow.

It looks at home on a child's bookshelf today and a teenager's nightstand years from now. And because nothing on the outside announces its purpose, what they choose to put inside can remain quietly theirs.

The little metal latch is more than a finishing touch.

Write it down.
Put it inside.
Close the lid.
Click.

Done for now.

Because learning how to solve problems is important.
But perhaps there is another lesson worth carrying into adulthood:
Not knowing doesn't have to be an emergency.

Sometimes the answer is simply...

I don't know yet.

Available in three sizes, each box is individually hand-sanded and sealed for a smooth, natural finish. Choose the simplicity of the natural wood interior or add a soft velvet liner for a more traditional keepsake feel.
